Besides being one of my favorite pizza spots in Boynton Beach, Pizza Rox really “rocks” on many different levels.
I remember my first time stepping inside Pizza Rox and I immediately noticed the large, red, brick oven. I knew I was in for a treat and never looked back. Not only does cooking inside a brick oven make this pizza special, there is a nice back story behind the making of this unique Pizza joint.
Owner Glenn Bocchino while in L.A., had stumbled upon California style, “fusion” pizza which was a trend starting up in California at the time, but not as well known in other parts of the country.
He was intrigued with some of the most interesting combinations of pizza toppings that he had ever seen and tasted. Long story short, he blended his unique style with the inspiration from his California favorites and voila… Pizza Rox was born.
Besides having really catchy names for each pizza, (each one is named after a song from the 80’s & 90’s), there is something really special about the crust. It’s light, crispy and chewy all at the same time. Speaking of crust, they provide an amazing gluten free crust that provides a huge part of their business. People come from near and far to savor this special crust.
We visited a few weeks ago to celebrate Hidden Gems South Florida reaching 10k followers on TikTok. Glenn and his staff were amazing and cooked up 5 gourmet pizzas for us!
We had fun filming this TikTok while tasting some new pizzas as opposed to “our usuals” that we typically order. They also carry a nice selection of beer and wine.
