🕯️ We Finally Did the Fever Candlelight Concert and Here’s What We Thought
Okay, so I had been seeing these Fever Candlelight Concerts all over my feed for what feels like forever, and I kept thinking I need to do this sometime and scrolling right past it. Well — I finally went, and I’m pleasantly surprised.
We did the Vivaldi Four Seasons show right here in South Florida and as a classical pianist, I’ll admit I had some expectations walking in. Would it be somewhat boring? Watered down? I wasn’t sure.
It was neither of those things.
The entire room is lit entirely by candlelight — no overhead lights, no harsh venue lighting — just this warm, flickering glow everywhere. It sets the tone before the first note is even played. My husband and I went for a romantic date night and it was the perfect setting.
The string quartet was genuinely excellent. And hearing the Four Seasons performed that intimately, just feet away from the musicians, reminded me why I fell in love with classical music in the first place. There’s something about live performance at that small scale —intimate and personal.
By the time they performed “Winter” I have to admit, I was a bit emotional ( in a good way). In fact, the lead soloist was one of the finest in South Florida as we found out. She was absolutely amazing.
The performers made the night even more intimate and spoke about aspects of themselves and the music. That made the difference from giving this show 4 stars to 5 stars.
The show runs about an hour, which felt just right. You walk out feeling like you actually did something special with your evening.
The prices vary from $35-$89 depending on the venue and seating, and the upper tier pricing can seem a bit costly- but personally, I think the lower tier pricing will give you a great experience without breaking the bank. Put this experience on your bucket list!
