We started our 2.5 hour trip with a warm welcome from our first mate and captain. Within minutes after a short introduction and briefing, we stepped onto the boat and off we went! After a few stops along with highly engaging and educational stories, our knowledgable and entertaining captain was determined to find a group of dolphins. AND…he didn’t disappoint. Within minutes we were already spotting groups of dolphins!!
Not only did we see several groups of dolphins, our captain kicked up the speed to provide a wake so the dolphins could come “play” with us! It was truly amazing and unlike anything I had seen before.
The next part of the tour was equally as exciting. We stopped as we toured to learn about the mangroves, wildlife and the islands. We anchored on one of the shores to go shelling and boy, were there shells everywhere! We even found a few sand dollars.
This adventure ended with an amazing ride back to the marina and I couldn’t stop thinking about how blessed my family and I were to have experienced this hidden gem.
