The first time I stepped inside Adam & Joe’s, I knew something good was about to happen. There was a group of firemen sitting at the high-top, a line of people waiting to order AND several workers rushing out the door with large brown bags going out for delivery. Adam was behind the counter hustling about. He suggested that my family and I try several of the most popular items on the menu.
My mouth was watering when I saw the charcuterie board filled with goodies! We tasted: The Black Pig sandwich, The Chicken Pesto Wrap, The Gourmet Tuna Sandwich, The Gourmet Burger and Joe’s Club. When I tell you, this lunch was absolutely delicious and seriously one of the best I’ve found in South Florida. Everything is handmade and you can tell. The hand cut potato chips, the freshly baked breads, the moist chocolate chip cookies.

One of the reasons why I created my blog and social media was not only to explore new things right in my backyard, but to share them with YOU. I can’t tell you how many people on my social media are thanking me for showcasing all of these hidden gems and frankly many of them didn’t even know the places right next to them didn’t even exist.
The really cool backstory of Adam & Joe’s:
Joe Knows Lunch was established in 1992 by husband & wife team Joel & Heather. But their history goes a long way back. They started a small sandwich and catering company in their home state of California back in the 1980’s. They started catering to some of the most famous T.V. shows and movies such as: The Incredible Hulk, Hillstreet Blues, Charlie’s Angels and many, many more! HOW COOL IS THIS?
Fast forward to 1991, Joe & Heather moved their family to Fort Lauderdale taking their culinary skills to Florida. Joe Knows Lunch was born and to this day is one of the longest running independent restaurants in the Uptown Fort Lauderdale Business district.
In 1997 their son Adam, opened a nearby restaurant-Adam’s Subs & Salads which quickly grew into a local favorite.
In 1992 Joel & Heather retired and the two great restaurants were merged into one! Voila-Adam & Joe’s
